About 12 miles east of Lancaster, South Carolina, nestled amid rolling acres of farmland, you will find the small, but growing community of Rich Hill. Named for the generosity of the people of this community. Others say it was due to the rich farmland in this area; whatever the case, both statements are true of Rich Hill. The name describes what we were, what we are and with God's blessings we will continue to be "Rich" in the blessings of God. On December 17, 1906, God spoke to a small group of people and led them to start Rich Hill Baptist Church. There were 22 members in that first church. On March 4, 1907, construction of Rich Hill Baptist Church's first building began. In 1949, the sanctuary was remodeled and the Education Building was constructed. In 1956, the church expanded again by adding its steeple and front steps. The church parsonage was also constructed in the late 50's. In 1979, the church constructed a Family Ministry Building consisting of new education space and a full size gym. Today, Rich Hill Baptist Church continues to grow in Christ's love and blessings.
